With the protection class IP55 the ZC-BNX4312PHA is weather-protected and prepared for outdoor use but it can also be used indoors. Inconspicuous in design and colour and with compact dimensions it is especially suited for the private sector. As an IR camera it can be recommended everywhere where the lighting conditions are inadequate at night. For example for the video surveillance of small gate entrances hallways back doors or emergency exits.
The ZC-BNX4312PHA has an internal light sensor which on the one hand switches the camera over from colour to the more sensitive black/white mode as it gets dark at night. On the other hand the sensor activates the 20 integrated IR LEDs and pushes the IR cut filter mechanically to the side. In this way the light passes directly to the CCD sensor. This mechanical toggling offers clear advantages over the digital feature: With this IR outdoor camera it not only permits brilliant colour reproduction in daylight but also images with a very good resolution at night.
The camera has a varifocal lens with a DC-controlled iris (F1.4) and a focal length of 3.3 – 12.0 mm. The highly sensitive 1.3“ IT CCD image sensor provides high quality images with 540 TV lines. The integrated IR LEDs are arranged around the lens and emit light in the wavelength 850 nm. It is invisible to the human eye and is therefore not perceived as disruptive. Combined with the powerful lens the LEDs also guarantee a range of over 15 metres at night therefore covering an extremely large surveillance area.
