Panasonic CVBALUN Passive balun assembly enabling Analogue Camera Connection over UTP
Compact size for housing installation
This passive balun adapter allows connection of analogue cameras to a UTP network by converting the Cat5e cabling to the required analogue connectors. The balun takes RJ45 jack and converts it from a 100 Ω balanced signal back to a 75 Ω unbalanced signal with Male BNC for video control (Pair) and Power (2-Conductor).
The setup is expandable as use of the data cable is optional and in cases where a fixed camera is installed a fully functional/PTZ can easily be added at a later date.
The cost-effective adapter includes a pre-terminated male BNC connector so no additional coaxial maintenance is required.
Advantages
This Video Surveillance over UTP Structured Cabling Series facilitates the integration of analogue security systems within existing IT architecture defeating the need to run traditional coaxial power and data cabling bundles. Instead power video and data are uniquely carried on an ANSI/TIA/EIA and ISO single standards compliant 4-twisted pair cable that meets Cat 5 performance requirements.
