The 780/HD delivers the benefits of the latest low bandwidth video compression standard MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 and offers the user the ability to drive the latest HD screens through both High Definition HDMI and Analogue outputs. In addition the 780/4GB has an on-board rendering engine providing the ability to render Standard Definition TV at HD resolution. Built around a reliable multi-core computing engine running under Linux the 780/4GB is capable of delivering both live HD and SD MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 and MPEG-2 video streams and locally stored HD and SD MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 and MPEG-2 files from the on-board memory of 4GB. In addition the 780/HD can show PowerPoint presentations (converted to HTML) JPEGs PNGs and HTMLs as well as show up to the minute webpages. The 780/4GB can operate reliably on its own or can be networked to provide automated content download and synchronised video playout with other 780/4GB units. Reliable “maintenance free” operation small physical size and software future proofing make the 780/4GB ideally suited to both large scale distributed applications to simple single screen deployments.It can operate in standalone mode or under the control of the MediaStar Administration system. It has Browser/RS232/USB and IR remote control interfaces and is built around an ultra reliable dualcore computing engine running under Linux.
