Like its line mates the PMD580 uses proven stable Compact Flash (CF) as its recording medium with the inherent reliability of no moving parts. But the PMD580 takes convenience and functionality to another level incorporating Ethernet connectivity and an internal browser-style interface that allows centralized control of all operations including scheduling of recordings machine setup and file transfer.
